TERESA WAY
Programme Co-ordinator

Originally from Canada, Teresa has made New Zealand her home where she lives by the beach with her husband and son. ACVE is very happy to welcome Teresa to the office team, where she will bring her considerable organisational skills to providing administrative support for all aspects of the ACVE programme. Whilst in Canada, Teresa worked for the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, organising public residential programmes for international visitors to the university. She has also co-ordinated large scale events from awards dinners to half marathons. An avid sailor, Teresa and her family love to take their boat to explore the Pacific Ocean and local lakes. They have also welcomed international homestay students and teachers into their home and very much enjoy the whole cultural exchange process! Teresa understands what it is like to live and work in a different country far from home, and believes wholeheartedly in the learning journey all of our international volunteers are undertaking.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

JONNY FROMONT

Jonny is a passionate traveller, student, regional manager for a travel retail company and enjoys a spot of mountain biking from time to time. Having been bitten by the travel bug at 17 years old, Jonny took a leap of faith and decided to make the most of an opportunity to move to Italy at 19 years old. Why? Why not! After returning from Italy Jonny was employed as a Youth Worker for two years before leaving New Zealand again to work with youth in the USA. Over the years Jonny had some profound and very formative experiences while volunteering in Nepal and later, Botswana, in between travelling the world to almost 50 countries around the globe. ACVE provides a perfect framework for a young person to grow, develop, explore and discover through travel and international cultural exchange. Jonny is excited to support ACVE which sets out to assist young people in becoming conscientious global citizens through amazing adventures that open the heart and mind.

LEX EDMONDS

Lex first meet the team at ACVE in 2013 where he arranged to live and volunteer in Nepal for 10months. Regarded as a defining and indelible moment is his life, he has since continued to pursue his interests exploring different cultures and environments through areas in South America and Asia, with no plans of stopping there! With his creative eye, enthusiasm to engage with anybody and 'hands on experience' with the ACVE programmes, Lex offers yet another colour to the already established rainbow of personality and talent that the ACVE team offers.
